Greetings!

I'm at Texas Furry Fiesta for its 2017 run! If you happen to see me around (just look for Alkani badges) and I'm not in the middle of something for the convention, feel free to say hello!

I'll also be on the following panels:

FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 2017

Writing 101 (12:30 PM-1:30 PM, Steuben) - Get started with the fundamentals of writing! Phil Geusz and I will be talking about some writing basics.

Science Fiction Storytelling (2:00 PM-3:00 PM, Steuben) - We're going to talk about telling stories in science fiction, along with special topics and some staples of the genre. Joining Phil and me will be Special Guest Panelist Watts Martin, who recently published Kismet (For sale now at the FurPlanet table and online via Argyll Books).

SATURDAY, MARCH 25, 2017

RAWR: Year Two and Beyond (12:00 PM-1:00 PM, Waterford) - A discussion about the furry fandom's first and only residential writing workshop. Information about the second year, what you can expect, and how to apply for the 2017-2018 session if you want to consider attending. Free bookmarks!

Writing 201 (6:00 PM-7:00 PM, Steuben) - A continuation of Writing 101 along with some more advanced topics. We encourage anyone who didn't get their questions answered or addressed in Writing 101 to join us and ask!

SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 2017

Screenwriting (12:30 PM-1:30 PM, Waterford) - An introduction to the basics of screenwriting. We talk about uses, purposes, and differences between prose and script, and tools for burgeoning screenwriters. We review some examples for comic strips, movies, and television.

If you're also interested, I can recommend a few other panels:

FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 2017

Write Now! (8:30 PM-9:30 PM, Steuben) - Kyell Gold and Jakebe will talk about short story elements and structure, followed by an in-session writing exercise.

SATURDAY, MARCH 25, 2017

Publisher Q&A (3:30 PM-4:30 PM, Steuben) - Want to poke a publisher's brain? Want to hear about things to do (and things not to do) when submitting stories or queries? This panel is for you! FuzzWolf, Kyell Gold, and Rechan all sit on this panel to tell you what to do and what not to do when submitting that story from their own unique roles as writer, editor, or publisher.

SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 2017

KnotSheathed (1:00 PM-2:30 PM, Steuben) - Join Kyell Gold and FuzzWolf as they talk about whatever they want, but usually about things related to writing. This is the usual fusion of the KnotCast and Unsheathed.

Hope to see lots of folks around, especially folks I don't normally get to see!
